It isn’t a huge surprise, but Yahoo has just released thrown their hat into the blogging world with Yahoo! 360. Never happy to just go with the flow though, Yahoo has combined blogging/photo sharing with social networking.
“Let people know what’s interesting or important to you. Post photos. Start a blog. Share lists and recommendations, anything. Show who you are and what’s in your life — all your delights, dislikes, and playful passions.
With Yahoo! 360°, you’ll have one place to keep the important people in your life connected to you. And one place for you to stay connected to them.
It’s very easy to plug all of your people in. With just a few clicks you can invite any — or everyone from you Yahoo! Messenger friends list, you Yahoo! Address Book or (after beta) from Microsoft Outlook to connect to you.
It isn’t always easy to stay in touch. Yahoo! 360° makes it a little easier. Every time you sign in, you’ll automatically see t he latest stuff your friends have shared.”
The big shocker? They copied gmail’s invite only policy. I can’t say I like that trend one little bit. It makes me feel like I am 14 again trying to get into a bar with no fake-id or invitation.
